Seth McFarlane is the guy who made "Family Guy" and "American Dad" and Cleveland is the black dude from "Family Guy".

A spin off based on cleveland? Are they asking for failure? He's great as a character on famly guy...but if there should ever be a spin off it should be "welcome to quagmire's pad" or "Fuck you all: starring meg"  !! Actually Death and Adam West are my fav's. "Adam We....Aaaadaammmm Weeeeeee!" |

i imagine so, american dad's got 'em too.
i think cleveland might be great as a show. remember, he owns a deli...so it could be kind of like if the simpson's did an apu spinoff...

I'm actually starting to like American Dad more than the recent Family Guy episodes. Seems like AD gets the best writing and attention from Seth.
Since Family Guy started as a parody of TV sitcoms, I suppose Cleveland could be a parody of TV sitcom spin-offs. |

according to wikipedia, it's set to begin airing in may 2009. it will be "focusing on the character of Cleveland Brown and his family. His new family includes his new spouse, Donna, her daughter and 5 yr old son. Cleveland jr. also is in the family but is now fat or chubby much like Chris Griffin." |
