I went to my first 'protest' today calling for an end to the Iraq war on my lunch break. Maybe 20 -30 people showed up at the Torrington Town Hall, mostly older people with children or relatives involved in the war. Most of them had been to college it seemed, and most of them were/are professionals. It was interesting and people were taking pictures, but I don't know what it'll amount to. I'll probably do it again. Felt more 'real' than just sending money to action groups and writing letters to my congress people.
