Poor dumb redneck, just can't keep his dog under control. The only people who make sense in the whole story is the freakin' cop! Can't believe I said that... |

Excuse me? It didn't say he intentionally lets his dog roam around. Maybe it just discovered how to get out more often. I'm sorry, but I take a little bit of offense since I AM a dog owner. |

Keep your dog under control. If you can't control your animal. Don't get an animal. This doesn't say the dog got out once. It gets out constantly and creates a major nuisance. |

It's hard for me to not be angry about this, as an animal lover. Take our neighbor's dog for instance. Dottie is a sweet animal, and her owners NEVER tie her up. We've spotted her down in town a few times. Jamie saw her trotting through the IGA parking lot just last weekend. Cars do 50 mph (at least!) on Route 11 coming down the hill. She's going to be killed. One of Taylor Farm's dogs was last year. They then installed electric fencing to keep the others safe, like any responsible person should do if they want their dogs to be roaming in their yard.
I consider it animal abuse if you can't keep your dog from escaping home repeatedly, let alone if you intentionally let it roam around.
You shouldn't be offended, you're a responsible pet owner. |
