I disassembled my good car so I could replace the fuel injector which was failing. Once everything was apart, it seemed a good idea to check the resistance on all the injectors, just in case another one was getting near death. Then I realized that a sliver of silver metal had been caught in the cavity where the failing injector connects to the wiring harness. I never thought to look in there on the weekend when I traced the wiring harnesses.
Sure enough, that damn piece of metal was rattling about in there and often shorting out the connection, which resulted in no fuel to #4 cylinder, and caused the computer to throw the "Injector #4 short to B+" code and
Can you believe that shit? How did it get there? Nobody knows! Put it all back together and took it for an extended test drive.
Yay! All I had to buy was a code scanner that I can re-use. The K&N cone is back on, no MAF codes, and it sounds sexxxxxy! |

No way, this car is nearly stock except for the cone, chip and suspension.
Wait till I can swap on my built head and cams |
